In accordance with The Department for Education we aim to actively promote British values in Early Years settings to ensure young people leave nursery prepared for life in modern Britain. Children are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance and understand that while different people may hold different views about what is ‘right’ and ‘wrong’, all people living in England are subject to its law.

At Chuckles we promote British Values in ways that are suitable for very young children. For example, we encourage children to make their own choices, we talk about nursery rules and being kind to one another, we encourage children to take turns and listen to one another and we celebrate and learn about various festivals and customs from different faiths and cultures around the world.
